In the beginning of May, Marks & Spencer Acropolis store in Nicosia, invited a group of Senior School students, who had the chance to get acquainted with the procedures of a retail company operating in the fashion industry, such as purchasing, merchandising, operational mechanisms, client management, promotional practices and personnel management.
Marks & Spencer’s Management team, through a series of live presentations and in-store tours, shared with the students the knowledge and practices for the effective and efficient operation of Marks & Spencer store; from best practices during the buying process and the correct in-store communication to its promotion and client service.
The students also had the chance to ask questions and exchange opinions on various relevant topics. The Voici La Mode (VLM) team also explained how the Group’s values are transformed into actions, thus guiding the way in which it operates.
The store visit is part of VLM Group’s ongoing effort to support and educate the youth in the field of retail as well as introduce them to the career opportunities available in the world of fashion; an initiative that VLM Group has been over time. The Group’s strategic aim is to support the youth of Cyprus with multiple and versatile activities, such as scholarships through the Artemisia Panayiotou Foundation.
